Sorry, this hike has been cancelled due to an active timber harvest along the lower part of the Kidder Mt. Trail. We’ll hold a similar hike in the Fall.

Join naturalist and Friends of the Wapack board member Gail Coffey for a hike to the summit of Kidder Mountain in New Ipswich.  This is a family friendly moderate 3 mile hike with elevation gain of 406’, appropriate for children ages 10 and up. We are pleased to offer this hike in cooperation with the Harris Center for Conservation Education. Meet at the trail-head parking area on Turnpike Road, Routes 123/124, across from Windblown Camping. Bring water, snacks, appropriate hiking clothing-long sleeve light shirts and lightweight pants, hats and hiking boots. Tick repellent or insect repellent clothing recommended.
