SUMMARY:North Pack Group Hike
DESCRIPTION:This hike up North Pack in the Wapack National Wildlife Refuge is being led by the staff of the Peterborough Town Library in partnership with the Friends of the Wapack. We will also be joined by members of the Biology Staff from the US Fish and Wildlife service\, who will answer your questions on flora and fauna during the hike and provide information about the Refuge.  \nWe’ll meet at the Wapack National Wildlife Refuge trailhead parking lot on Mountain Road in Greenfield at 10:00 AM. SUMMARY:Trail Work Day - Pratt Mountain
DESCRIPTION:For our first workday of 2016 we will be doing work on the section between Binney Hill Road and Pratt Mountain in New Ipswich. We will be installing water bars at a number of locations\, clearing brush\, and similar work. Special attention will be focused on the climb from Binney Pond to the overlook on Pratt Mountain. We will meet at 8:30 AM at the Newest Mall on Routes124/123 in New Ipswich as there is limited parking on Binney Hill Road. We will car pool from there to Binney Hill Road.\nAll workdays start at 8:30 AM and typically wind down around 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. Bring lunch\, water\, work clothes\, and enthusiasm.
